Setting up OpenVPN access under Windows Vista.
The following instructions go step–by–step through the creation process. These instructions work under all the client– side variations of Windows Vista, namely Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate. Please pay particular attention to parts 12+ of this setup tutorial.
Note: Using this setup does not require the OpenVPN config files, they are already built into the application. We have configured OpenVPN on our servers to accept connections through TCP on ports 443, 8008 or 80 and also UDP on ports 1194, 65194 or 55194. Our pre-prepared version of OpenVPN allows for username and password save which is not a default option of OpenVPN. If you are using a previously installed version of OpenVPN you will need to copy the VPNUK OpenVPN config Files to the OpenVPN config folder on your PC, you can download the VPNUK config files for use with OpenVPN from HERE.
IMPORTANT: Please uninstall any earlier or other versions of OpenVPN from your copmputer and pay particular attention to parts 12+ of this setup tutorial.
