How to Set Up an Obfuscated OpenVPN Connection on macOS Using OpenVPN Connect with VPNUK

This guide will walk you through setting up an obfuscated OpenVPN connection on macOS using OpenVPN Connect. VPNUK’s Obfuscation ensures enhanced privacy, metadata scrambling, and additional DPI protection, allowing users to bypass firewalls and VPN restrictions.

1. Start Configuration

1. Click Here to log in with your VPNUK account credentials.
2. Choose a server:
   • Shared IP users: You can select any server from VPNUK’s network.
   • Dedicated IP users: Your assigned server will be pre-selected.
3. Download the configuration file:
   • The obfuscated OpenVPN connection is available only over UDP port 443.
   • Click Download to save the .ovpn file or have it emailed to you.

2. Install OpenVPN Connect for macOS

1. Open the App Store on your Mac.
2. Search for OpenVPN Connect.
3. Click Get and install the app.
4. Once installed, launch OpenVPN Connect.

3. Import Your VPNUK Obfuscated OpenVPN Configuration File

1. Open OpenVPN Connect on your Mac.
2. Click “Import Profile”.

5. Click Open to import the profile.

4. Connect to VPNUK Using OpenVPN Connect

1. Click the Connect button next to your VPNUK profile.
2. Enter your VPNUK username and password when prompted.
3. Click Save Password (optional).
4. Click OK to connect.
5. Once connected, OpenVPN Connect will display:
   • A green connection icon.
   • Your new VPN IP address.

5. Enable Auto-Start for OpenVPN Connect (Optional but Recommended)

To ensure OpenVPN Connect automatically starts and connects on macOS startup:

1. Open OpenVPN Connect.
2. Click on your VPNUK profile.
3. Enable Auto-Connect on Launch.
4. Enable Reconnect on Reboot.

6. Disconnect and Reconnect as Needed

1. To disconnect, open OpenVPN Connect and click Disconnect.
2. To reconnect, simply open OpenVPN Connect and click Connect.
