Note: Standard Shared IP and regular Dedicated IP accounts use NAT (Network Address Translation) which limits incoming connections. For unrestricted incoming connections you need a 1:1 Dedicated IP account.
What is a 1:1 Dedicated IP?
A 1:1 (one-to-one) Dedicated IP gives you a true static IP address with no NAT. This means:
- Unrestricted incoming connections — host servers, remote desktop, web services
- Custom PTR / rDNS records — set your own reverse DNS for the IP
- Port forwarding — forward any ports to any device behind the VPN
- Run any service — web server, mail server, game server, CCTV, NAS
