DD-WRT Router VPN Setup
DD-WRT is a popular open-source router firmware that supports OpenVPN. Once configured, all devices on your network are automatically protected by VPNUK — no software needed on individual devices.
Where are my VPN credentials?
Your VPN username and password are in the Members Area under VPNUK Account Details. These are different from your Members Area login.

Generate Your OpenVPN Config
Log in to the Members Area and generate an OpenVPN config file. Choose UDP 1194 for the best performance.

Log In to DD-WRT Admin Panel
Open a browser and go to your router's IP (usually
192.168.1.1). Log in with your DD-WRT credentials.3
Navigate to VPN Settings
Go to Services → VPN. Enable OpenVPN Client.

Enter VPN Details
Fill in the following fields from your config file:
Server IP: Your chosen VPNUK server, e.g.
Port:
Tunnel Protocol:
Username & Password: Your VPNUK VPN credentials
Paste the certificate contents from the config file into the CA certificate field.

Apply and Connect
Click Save then Apply Settings. DD-WRT will connect to VPNUK. Check Status → OpenVPN to confirm the connection is active.
