Tomato Router VPN Setup
Tomato (and its successor FreshTomato) is lightweight router firmware for Broadcom-based routers with full OpenVPN client support. It's ideal for home router VPN setups.
Where are my VPN credentials?
Your VPN username and password are in the Members Area under VPNUK Account Details. These are different from your Members Area login.

Generate Your OpenVPN Config
Log in to the Members Area and generate an OpenVPN config file. You'll need the CA certificate, server address and port from this file.

Log In to Tomato Admin
Open a browser and go to
192.168.1.1. Log in with your router admin credentials.3
Go to OpenVPN Client
Navigate to VPN Tunneling → OpenVPN Client. Set the tab to Basic.

Enter Server Details
Server Address: e.g.
Port:
Protocol: UDP
Firewall: Automatic
Create NAT on tunnel: Yes
Under the Keys tab, paste your CA certificate.

Enter Credentials and Save
Under Advanced, set Auth Username and Auth Password to your VPNUK VPN credentials. Click Save then navigate back to Basic and click Start Now.
