Step 1 — Download OpenVPN for Windows 7
Use OpenVPN v2.4.x for Windows 7 — the last version with official Windows 7 support. Download from openvpn.net/community-downloads.

Run the installer as Administrator. Accept all defaults. Allow the TAP Windows Adapter to install. After installation the OpenVPN GUI icon appears in your system tray.
Step 3 — Generate your config file
Log in to the Members Area and use the OpenVPN Config Generator to download a .ovpn config file.
- Protocol: UDP or TCP
- Port: 1194 (UDP) or 443 (TCP)
Step 4 — Import and connect
Right-click the OpenVPN tray icon → Import file…, select your .ovpn file. Then right-click → Connect. Enter your VPN username and password from the Members Area under VPNUK Account Details.
The tray icon turns green when connected. Your traffic is now encrypted through VPNUK.
