Which Connection Type Should I Use?
For most Windows 11 users, the VPNUK Software v1.2.2 is the recommended choice. It's the easiest to set up, automatically updates, and gives you access to all protocols (OpenVPN, IKEv2, L2TP, PPTP) in one app.
If you need to bypass strict firewalls or deep packet inspection (common in China, the Middle East or corporate networks), use the obfuscated OpenVPN connection available through the VPNUK app or standalone OpenVPN v2.6.6.
For a lightweight, no-software option, use the native IKEv2 built into Windows 11.
